3M™ Engineer Grade Beaded Reflective Sheeting (EGB) production to be discontinued year end 2023

Please find below a formal notice from 3M™ announcing the discontinuation of the production of 3M™ Engineer Grade Beaded Reflective Sheeting (EGB) at the end of year 2023.

"In an ongoing effort to streamline the portfolio and provide support to the most popular and in-demand products, 3M will be discontinuing production of its 3M™ Engineer Grade Beaded Reflective Sheeting product line year end 2023.  While the end of 2023 is still many months away, this communication is intended to provide ample time for you to evaluate options to ensure your process flows are impacted as minimally as possible. 

After September 30, 2023, orders will no longer be accepted.  This will allow us time to produce and ship the product by year end.

3M has recently introduced our 3M™ Advanced Flexible Engineer Grade Reflective Sheeting Series 7300 solution for signing which has received excellent customer feedback.  This product is only available in white but is being digitally printed by many customers to achieve desired colours–with 3M™ ElectroCut™ Film 1170 overlay and 3M™ Premium Protective Anti-Graffiti 1160i Overlay Film. This product comes in yellow (7311) and orange (7314) as well.

Another potential substitute is our 3M™ Engineer Grade Prismatic Reflective Sheeting product.  Below is a chart outlining the product alternatives to 3M™ Engineer Grade Beaded Reflective Sheeting.
